This year’s “400 Most Influential People in Fort Worth” list by Fort Worth Inc., which the magazine says includes “people playing a significant role in shaping Fort Worth and its future,” featured several Horned Frogs for 2022.
TCU occupied almost a quarter of the education section with the chancellor and three faculty from the TCU Neeley School of Business:
- Victor J. Boschini, Jr., TCU Chancellor
- Daniel Pullin, John V. Roach Dean of the Neeley School of Business
- Michael Sherrod, William M. Dickey Entrepreneur in Residence
- Rodney D’Souza, managing director, Neeley Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation
TCU also made its presence known on the list of health care and life sciences influencers:
- Dr. Stuart Flynn, dean of the TCU School of Medicine
- Richard Johnston, professor at the TCU School of Medicine
In the local sports realm, TCU occupied two of only six slots of influencers:
- Jeremiah Donati, athletic director
- Sonny Dykes, head football coach
Finally, civil rights activist Opal Lee, who was awarded an honorary doctorate from TCU in December, was named the issue’s Person of the Year.
“She’s been fighting for what’s right all of her life,” Frederick W. Gooding, Jr., the Dr. Ronald E. Moore Professor in Humanities in TCU’s John V. Roach Honors College, told the magazine.
